Stick House Sanctuary was established in 2008 in an effort to address the needs of wildlife in El Paso and surrounding areas. They have rescued, rehabilitated and released thousands of birds/mammals. They provide educational presentations pertaining to domestic and wildlife waterfowl for children in schools. The Sanctuary is run by volunteers with funding only from donations.
